This build-out of executive offices, a
boardroom and kitchen facilities included 158,000 s.f.
of space on seven floors for a total project cost of
$3.8 million. The millwork was very detailed wainscot
with reveals and wooden pilaster. Construction included
new A/V room with state-of-the-art dimming/projection
capabilities and custom-built cabinetry
In a subsequent project, Lee Kennedy Co.
managed the fit-up of the entire 14th floor. The project
consisted of new offices, conference rooms, and lounges.
New tele/data communications were tied into the main
communications room on the sixth floor and existing
mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were reconstructed
and/or added as necessary.

Fourth and Ninth Floor
John Hancock Tower, Boston, MA

This project entailed the complete gut
and renovation of the fourth floor of the John Hancock
Tower and a subsequent $1.2 million gut and renovation
of the ninth floor. Both floors covered 45,000 s.f. and
received new paint, HVAC and plumbing as well as the
installation of new acoustical ceiling panels over common
areas. The majority of the space was open floor plan
with offices along three walls. New copy niches and
a vending area were built and the floors were re-wired
for tele/data. Additionally, 7,000 s.f. of space was
renovated on the 15th floor. Both floors were completed
on an aggressive time line. The fourth occurred on a
4-month schedule and the ninth floor on a 2-month schedule.

Twenty-Ninth Floor

This 33,000 s.f. interior office fit out
encompassed the entire 29th floor of the John Hancock
Tower as well as partial space on the 15th floor. Extensive
telecommunication work was included in the scope as
the company's main telecommunications source was on
the 6th floor and cabling needed to be fed up through
the floors between. Additionally, the space included
innovative copy kiosks that featured sophisticated millwork.
The project cost was $650,000 and work was completed
on a tight schedule of 6 weeks.

Copley Place

This new tenant fit up on two floors of
the Copley Place Towers involved the expansion of existing
office space and the installation of emergency operating
systems. The $2.5 million project covered 62,000 s.f.
of space and consisted of the construction of a large
computer/communication hub which is backed-up with remote
600 KVA generator and uninterrupted power source (UPS).
Work also included installing specialized HVAC.
