Ground up construction of this six
story, 100,000 s.f. hotel took place on a schedule
of 16 months. Along with 164 guest rooms, the hotel
offers
a pool, breakfast buffet area, patio, meeting rooms
and space for a restaurant.
The foundation consists of pipe supported grade beams with a structural slab on grade. The structure is framed with factory built light gauge metal wall panels. Elevated slabs consist of conventional metal deck supported concrete floors. The exterior skin of the building is brick veneer, and the scope also included extensive landscaping.
Prior to construction, Lee Kennedy Co.
provided preconstruction services to ensure proper
siting, resolve constructability issues and bring the
project into budget.
