Lee Kennedy Company provided preconstruction
and construction services for this new ground-up development
on Harvard Universitys campus. The building has a complex
massing from one story to four stories (above grade) and
includes
a deep two-level basement in order to mitigate the scale
between Harvards institutional buildings and a 19th
century residential neighborhood. The project incorporates
numerous
sustainable design technologies including exterior sun-shading
devices, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems
and
green roof terraces. The project expects to attain LEED (Leadership
in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
