Lee Kennedy Co. was hired as the construction
manager and general contractor for the new 215,050 s.f. Kennett
High School. In addition to classrooms and administrative
areas, the new high school will include a gymnasium, library,
auditorium, a new sports field and computer labs. The school
also includes a career/vocational center consisting of an
auto shop, culinary arts facilities, a machine shop, a graphics/multimedia
lab and a drafting classroom.
Lee Kennedy Co. has also been hired as the
construction manager for renovations to the existing 110,400
s.f. Kennett Middle School. The project includes refurbishing
classrooms and the gymnasium, installing new mechanical and
electrical systems and performing egress upgrades to bring
the school into ADA compliance.
As part of preconstruction services for both
projects, Lee Kennedy Co. confirmed the educational specification
and the programming as well
as recommended the necessary consultants. LKCo confirmed
and tracked the School District's project soft costs and
budget, as well as provided cost and schedule control for
the overall projects.
