This high-end, retail fit out involved an extensive
demolition and renovation of two existing levels of the Armani
store and the fit out of a new third level. The existing elevator
cab was extended to provide access to the new floor. The walls
were customized with an Italian marmorino finish. Other finishes
included intricate stone and millwork installations as well
as distinctive lighting. The new store features an exceptionally
unique, star-fire glass, curved storefront-the only one like
it on Boston's fashionable Newbury Street.
The project also entailed the fit out of Armani's temporary store on Arlington Street to be used during construction. Lee Kennedy Co. coordinated the move and performed the temporary fit-out in ten days. Work included the construction of a bathroom, sewing room, offices and a complete re-paint of the entire space.
