Lee Kennedy Co., Inc. Announces Receipt of Liberty Mutual's Gold Safety Award
Lee
Kennedy Co., Inc. was recently awarded the Gold Safety Award
from Liberty Mutual Group. The Gold Safety Award recognizes
the commitment that the Company has made to safety and the accomplishments
of all its employees in this regard. Given to companies based
on information for the years 2000 and 2001, the award recognizes
the willingness of Lee Kennedy Co.'s Safety Director, Mike
Boyle, and the Company's employees
to go the extra mile.
Lee Kennedy Co. is one of only three companies within its General
Contracting SIC group of 1,542 to receive this award. Rich Beaumont,
Loss Prevention Consultant extended his congratulations to Boyle
and LKCo President Lee Michael Kennedy stating, "Perhaps the
most sincere form of praise is that when one of my customers
asks for examples of industry best practices with regards to
safety, I use Lee Kennedy Co. as a model."
As safety director, Boyle is responsible for the development,
implementation and management of the Company's Loss Control
Program. His primary function and objective is to provide a
"safe and healthy work environment" for all on site. Boyle is
committed both professionally and personally to providing safety
on all projects.
Boyle is past Chairman of the Associated General Contractors
(AGC) of Massachusetts Safety Committee; member of the National
Safety Council, Construction Division; member of the Labor-Management
Construction Safety Alliance; member of the American Society
of Safety Engineers and an Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor.
Boyle is currently working closely with the AGC of Massachusetts
and Region I OSHA Area Directors (task force) to formalize a
partnering program. It is the intent of this partnering program
to recognize and advance the importance of providing a safe,
healthful and productive work environment for the construction
industry. |
