Construction Superintendent (General Construction)
Ideal candidate should have 15-20 years in the industry with 10+ years in charge of work on projects in the $20-$40 million dollar range. The superintendent will be responsible for subcontractor scheduling, project coordination, safety, and self performed work planning and management as well as budget management. Boston builders license and MA state licenses required.
Project Manager (General Construction)
The overall responsibilities include:
Being capable of running multiple projects during all
phases of construction
Managing field staff
Maintaining safe
jobsites
Managing schedules through projections and updates
with project team
Managing financials as it relates
to contracts, invoices, change orders and cost reporting.
Ideal candidates will have a BS in Construction Management
or Engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience as a project
manager running his/her own projects ranging from $1M-$15M. The
ideal candidate must have extensive experience in ground-up, new
building construction. The candidate should be professional, energetic,
enthusiastic, possess strong communication, organization and supervisory
skills. Candidates must have PA (Project Administrator), Expedition
and/or Prolog experience.
Project Manager (Large Construction)
Individuals should have 10 - 15 years experience
managing new and renovation projects ranging from $5M to $50M.
Candidates are required
to be
well versed in industry software applications and responsibilities
as mentioned above. A 4-year college degree in a construction
related field is preferred as
well as
work
experience "coming up through the ranks."
Project Manager (Corporate Interiors)
The overall responsibilities of the position include the ability to run multiple projects during all phases of construction, manage field staff, maintain safe jobsites, manage schedule through projections and updates with project team. Also responsible for managing project financials such as contracts, invoices, change orders and cost reporting.
Qualified candidates will have a BS in Construction Management or Engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience as a project manager running their own projects ranging from $100K-$10M. The ideal candidate must have experience in commercial interiors construction. The candidate should be professional, energetic, enthusiastic, possess strong communication, organization and supervisory skills. Candidate must have Primavera, Expedition and/or Prolog experience.

Assistant Project Superintendent
Assist the Project Superintendent with the duties and responsibilities which include subcontractor scheduling, project coordination, safety and self performed work planning and management as well as budget management. Boston builder’s license and MA State license preferred 3 to 5 years previous field work experience.

Field Engineer
Qualified candidates will have a 3-5 years of Field Engineering experience and have a BS in Construction Management or Engineering or related experience.
The Field Engineer will be responsible to provide and maintain building control lines. Provide line and grade layout as required for timely and accurate performance of the work. Assist the Project Superintendent in maintaining as built records, field handbooks and preparing daily construction reports. Field engineers are responsible for site and structure layout. They must be able to read drawings and accurately convert the information into a three dimensional structure.
The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing the most advanced computer programs such as Suretrak, Timberline, Expedition, Office 2000 etc. Experience using a theodolite, transit and level is required.

Senior Estimator
Qualified candidates
will have 7-10 years experience estimating with a general contractor.
Experience in private academic, institutional, commercial development,
hotel/hospital, retail, cultural/historic, and corporate interiors
market sectors with project size ranging from $1m - $100m. Bachelors
degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology or similar.
Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products including
Access and Plan Swift. Responsibilities include bid preparation,
quantity take-offs, subcontractor bid solicitation, preparing bid
packages, performing cost analysis, attending walk-thrus, and developing
project schedules and general conditions. This is a great opportunity

Estimator
Qualified
candidates will have 3-7 years experience in commercial, tenant
fit-out, corporate interiors, institutional & historic projects
in the range of $1M to $50M, primarily in union environments. Strong
knowledge of all Microsoft Office products including Access and
PlanSwift, on-line printing and bid requesting. This person should
be a "roll up your sleeves" person that is excited by
hard work and competitive bidding. Responsibilities include bid
preparation, quantity take-offs, subcontractor bid solicitation,
bid packages, cost analysis, and walk-thrus. Bachelors degree in
Construction Management, Architectural Technology or similar.

S.T.A.R.
Lee Kennedy Co. believes that industry leaders are
developed from their first day on the job. By creating the Supplementary
Training And Rotation program (STAR), we strive to create
well-rounded construction professionals right from the start of
their careers. STAR allows recent college graduates, hired as full-time
employees, to perform a rotation in the three major disciplines
of construction. STAR participants will spend six months in project
management, six months in the Estimating Department and twelve months
in the field. Each rotation provides STAR participants the opportunity
to learn under an experienced professional.
Upon completion of the program, STAR participants:
- Understand the life of a job from start to finish.
- Appreciate the role of all members in the construction team.
- Have a professional advantage in the construction industry.
- Are prepared to be the future leaders of the Company.
STAR participants transition into
an assistant project manager, assistant estimator or assistant superintendent
position after completing the program. Even before finishing, participants
will have performed many of the functions associated with these
positions while doing their rotations. STAR graduates will be better
prepared for advancement within the Company and will find themselves
in an advantageous spot on the career ladder.
The Co-op Contingent
Each term, Lee Kennedy Co. hires co-op students from
Wentworth Institute of Technology, the Boston Architectural Center,
Northeastern University and the Worcester Polytechnic Institute,
to name a few. Co-ops come from all disciplines of the construction
and design field including construction management, architecture,
engineering and facilities management. Co-ops can be placed in a
variety of roles at the Company. Whether they are assisting with
project management, providing extra support in the Estimating Department,
or working in the field at a job site, co-ops gain valuable work
