Lee
Kennedy was introduced to architecture at an early age in his
familys
office, the nationally-recognized firm of Maginnis, Walsh &
Kennedy. Working as an architectural draftsman during summer vacations,
and full time while attending the Boston Architectural Center,
he
acquired an appreciation and working knowledge of the many details
associated with construction. He then worked in the field for
a
number of years as a construction laborer, crane operator, and
ironworker.
Mr. Kennedy founded Lee Kennedy Co., Inc. because
he perceived the need for a quality general contractor experienced
in the construction field, and one that actually performed the tasks
with its own full-time employees. Since its formation in 1978, Lee
Kennedy Co., Inc. has been involved in thousands of projects, ranging
from small office renovations and data processing facilities to
major reconstruction of large commercial buildings, new multistoried
office buildings, and renovations and restorations to major New
England schools, colleges, and medical facilities. For all Lee Kennedy
Co. projects, Mr. Kennedys philosophy of service and team
work with the client and project professionals has resulted in an
outstanding company reputation for on-time, on-budget, quality projects.
This has led to valuable long-term relationships with team members

President & CEO
Lee
Michael Kennedy, President & CEO, began working with Lee Kennedy Co.,
Inc. in 1980. Lee commenced as a field laborer, a position he held
throughout high school and over college breaks. During this time,
Lee acquainted himself with the intricacies of field operations
and project management. Upon graduation in 1986 from St. Joseph's
College in Maine, Lee began working as a project manager. Concurrently,
he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology and graduated from
the Construction Management Program in 1991. Lee has since held
positions as estimator, senior project manager, project executive,
vice president - administration, executive vice president, and in
2002 was promoted to President & CEO.
As President & CEO, Lee oversees the administration and
operations of all Lee Kennedy Co. projects. He leads the daily operations
of the Company while evaluating and negotiating new opportunities.
He assists in fostering Lee Kennedy Co.'s growth and direction.

Lee's project experience includes management of the
$62 million renovation to Widener
Library at Harvard University; the $20 million historic restoration
and renovation of the award winning Boston
Public Library's McKim Building; the detailed and award-winning
renovation of Memorial Hall's Sanders
Theater on the Harvard University campus; interior construction
at the TD Bank North Garden (formerly the Fleet Center) for the Legends Club, Premium/Banner Clubs, and offices
for the Bruins & Celtics organizations; the $12 million renovation
of and addition to Northeastern University's Student Center; and
numerous other projects.
Involvement in charitable projects is important to
Lee. He has been involved in several worthy endeavors including
the construction of the South Boston Neighborhood House, the South
Boston Intervention Center and the construction management of the
Paul R. McLaughlin Youth Center for the Daniel Marr Boys and Girls
Club of Dorchester where he serves on the Board of Directors.
As a long-standing member of the Boston business community,
Lee endeavors to participate in the responsible shaping of the City's
future. He was selected as one of the Boston Business Journal's
Fifth Annual "Forty under 40." The list is a collection
of Boston-area business people chosen for their professional and
civic contributions to the community.

Michael Heath
Chief Financial Officer
Michael
Heath oversees all of the Company’s financial and administrative
functions. Mike is responsible for company banking relationships,
including effective cash management and the establishment of required
lines of credit. He supervises, on a day-to-day basis, all accounting
and bookkeeping functions of the Company, as well as credit and
collection, legal and taxation matters and risk management.
Before joining Lee Kennedy Co., Mike served as CFO for a $180
million construction company in Massachusetts. Prior to that,
he held positions
at two different Certified Public Accounting firms in Massachusetts.
Mike graduated from Bentley College with a BS in Accountancy
and is a CPA. Mike's philosophy is that the finance department
is a
critical link of support for construction operations and he believes
in a high level of open communication between finance and all
other departments of the company.

Shaila Kennedy Garland
Vice President
Shaila Kennedy Garland brings a refined understanding
of both image-promotion and relationship-building to her position
as Vice President of Lee Kennedy Company. Having acted as Marketing
Coordinator for the company from 1994 to 1997, and subsequently
as Director of Marketing from 1997-2003, she is highly familiar
with the art of shaping and maintaining a public image. She has
overseen the development of the company's promotional materials
and has controlled the dispersal of these materials, both through
the media and through direct contact with clients. She has coordinated
the company's proposal output and, most importantly, she has forged
and maintained the sorts of relationships with other members of
the building industry that are crucial to business growth.
As Vice President, Shaila continues her direct involvement in image-promotion,
public relations and communications while increasing her growing
stature in the real estate and construction community. Her role
has expanded to include guidance with company operations, and evaluation
of work-in-place, and business development processes.
An active and visible member of numerous entrepreneurial
organizations, Shaila is tireless in her drive to share the knowledge
she has gained from her own business experience, and to learn from
the experience of others. Her efforts and motivation in this area
have gained her leadership positions in influential groups such
as the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC), chairperson
2004-2005, and the Massachusetts Building Congress, president 2003
- 2004. In 2001, she became the first woman ever to be elected
as an officer of the AGC. She chaired the AGC's Image and Identity
Task Force, and is a member of many industry organizations and
committees including the National Association of Office Properties
(NAIOP) where she has served on the Executive Committee. Shaila
has also worked to broaden opportunities for women in the construction
industry - an issue of particular importance to her - by serving
on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women
in Construction, and has worked to better the community at large
by lending her enthusiasm and organizational expertise to numerous
charitable endeavors.

Eugene Kennedy
Vice President - Business Development
Gene Kennedy started working with LKCo in 1987 as a laborer. Upon graduation from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island he developed professionally through the ranks as an Assistant Estimator, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and Project Executive. In 2003 Gene was named LKCo’s Director of Client Services and oversees LKCo’s Corporate Interiors Group.
Gene fosters new business opportunities for LKCo and enhances the group’s service offerings to meet the changing needs of the market. He works with prospective clients to understand how LKCo can provide integral services to add value to the construction process. Valuing the client relationship and knowing their needs, he facilitates an active way to communicate with them throughout and beyond the entire project in order to exceed client service expectations. Specializing in fast-track tenant fit outs and focused on quality, he works with the client to attain a quick, well organized, turn around which generates the best ROI for the client.
Gene has built a trustworthy relationship with many building owners and managers, architects and engineers, commercial brokers and tenants throughout New England. He has worked to establish many preferred contractor agreements with some of the industry’s most notable companies. His ability to focus on client satisfaction and maintain respectful business relationships helps LKCo be the front-runner of construction management and general contracting services.

Richard M. Robbins
Vice President - Estimating
Dick
Robbins has been with Lee Kennedy Co., Inc. since 1995. Prior to joining
Lee Kennedy Co., Dick worked as a Senior Project Manager with Walsh
Brothers, Inc. from 1993-1995 and as Senior Project Manager for Tocci
Building Corporation from 1989-1993. Dick began his career in 1964
with Vappi & Company, Inc. where he worked as a Project Manager
until 1989.
As Vice President - Estimating, Dick provides estimating,
value engineering, purchasing, and constructability input. He works
both with subcontractors to receive professional input from all
trades with respect to each project and with the Lee Kennedy Co.
estimating staff to create internal quantity takeoffs to provide
accurate preliminary budget information. Dick manages the Estimating
Department and is the Principle in Charge on all projects involving
preconstruction services.
Value-added services are an important aspect of estimating
and preconstruction services. From initial contact with a client,
Dick and the Estimating Department work with the entire Project
Team to understand fully the clients needs and goals for the
end result. By attaining this client and customer synthesis, preconstruction
services become more efficient and targeted. The Owner-Architect-Contractor
relationship is strengthened throughout project duration, ensuring
the highest quality end result.
Under Dicks leadership, Lee Kennedy Co. has
conducted estimating, value engineering, and other preconstruction
services for countless clients in several market niches. Dicks
experience with projects of various sizes and complexities combine
to provide Lee Kennedy Co. with an invaluable resource for major
historical restorations, renovations, and new construction for the
retail, commercial, and institutional markets.
Dick is a graduate of the Building Construction
Program at Wentworth Institute of Technology of Boston, Massachusetts.

Blair Banker
Director of Preconstruction Services
Blair
Banker has been with the Lee Kennedy Company since 1998. Prior to
joining the Lee Kennedy Co., Blair worked as Chief Estimator for
the John A. Russell Corporation from 1990 - 1998 and Senior Estimator
and Project Manager from 1985-1990. Prior to 1985 Blair's work history
includes the role of Project Superintendent for Trumbull Nelson
Construction Co., and owner of his own construction company. Blair
is a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology of Boston,
Massachusetts, Building Construction Program.
As Director of Preconstruction
Services, Blair manages
the critical preconstruction phase of each Lee Kennedy Company project
requiring planning prior to construction. Blair's approach is to
develop a project culture that explores every issue by encouraging
input from all the Project Team members as it relates to the overall
project objectives. Our disciplined, detailed and professional approach
to communications allows the Project Team relationship to move forward
in a positive manner. By fully understanding the client's needs
and goals the preconstruction effort becomes more efficient and
focused.
Value-added services are the primary characteristic
of Lee Kennedy Co.s Preconstruction Services. The Preconstruction
Team will provide professional evaluation as to constructability,
logistics, site analysis, schedule impacts and construction costs.
Blair provides accurate budgeting and value engineering by working
with subcontractors to receive professional input on various trades
and with the Lee Kennedy Co. estimating staff to create detailed
internal quantity take-offs.
Blair's experience and abilities have provided Lee
Kennedy Co. with the resources to perform Preconstruction Services
for a variety of clients in the institutional, commercial and retail
markets, on projects ranging from new construction to detailed historical
restorations.

Bob O'Leary
Vice President - Academic/Institutional
With over 30 year’s of experience, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to LKCo’s institutional division. He began his career in the building industry as electrical designer in 1978, continued in varying project management roles, and currently serves as Vice President of the Academic / Institutial division.
Bob works personally with the client to define the project objectives, identify any possible risks and establishes a plan of action to attain a successful project completion. Knowing the importance of building a strong relationship with the client Bob and the LKCo team goes above and beyond to gain the trust and honor that they pride themselves in with each individual client attaining to their needs specifically. He serves as a team leader to forge a harmonious relationship between the owner, architect, LKCo project team, and subcontractors and drives the overall execution of the project plan. He will monitor and measure the projects progress and take corrective action when necessary to ensure that the project is done on time and within budget. He manages a team of project executives, project managers and assistant project managers within the institutional division of LKCo.
Being fluent in the institutional field, Bob has worked on every aspect of a project large and/or small. He is finishing up the first phase on a two-phase project, restoring the Old State House in Boston and is currently running two new ground-up projects in for Kennett High School and Middle School in Conway, NH, which will open for the 07-08 academic school year. He also worked on numerous college dorms, libraries, science labs, and theaters. Bob is active in various industry associations and has donated his time and talents to his hometown’s building committee.

Michael E. Boyle
Vice President - Safety
Mike
Boyle has been with Lee Kennedy Co., Inc since 1998. Prior to joining
LKCo, Mike worked as a Safety Consultant for Sedgwick James of
New England, 1995 -1998 and as Safety Director for Jackson Construction
Company, 1986-1995.
As Vice President - Safety, Mike is responsible for
the development, implementation and management of the Company's
Loss Control Program. His primary function and objective is to
provide a "safe and healthy work environment" for all
on site. Mike is committed both professionally and personally to
providing Safety on all projects. He becomes actively involved
in the project through pre-job safety planning with the project
team. It is through this planning, specific loss potential exposures
can be discussed and control measures can be planned for and agreed
upon. Furthermore, through this meeting, a site-specific Safety
and Health Plan is created. Once the project is underway, he becomes
actively involved through safety meetings with both labor and management.
With over twenty-five years in the industry, Mike
has been involved in many projects ranging from small office build-outs
to major historical restoration and renovation projects, as well
as medical facilities, high rise construction and institutional
work.
Mike is past Chairman of the Associated General Contractors
(AGC) of Massachusetts Safety Committee; member of the National
Safety Council, Construction Division; member of the Labor-Management
Construction Safety Alliance; member of the American Society of
Safety Engineers and an Authorized OSHA Outreach Instructor. He
is the recipient of the 2005 Patrick Volpe Construction Safety
Award from the Labor-Management Construction Safety Alliance. This
prestigious award recognizes Mike for his dedication to advancing
safety and health in the construction industry.
Mike worked closely with the AGC of Massachusetts
and Region I OSHA Area Directors (task force) to formalize a partnering
program. The Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE)
program recognizes and advances the importance of providing a safe,
healthful and productive work environment for the construction
industry.
Mike received an Associates Degree in Applied Science,
Building Construction Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Edward A. Hines
The
overwhelming experience Ed Hines offers Lee
Kennedy Co. is an insurmountable asset. Ed's construction career
spans over four decades. He possesses a strong background not
only
in building, but architecture and construction law as well.
Ed graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1957 with
a degree in Building Construction. He also attended the Boston Architectural
Center. At the launch of his career, Ed worked for architectural
firms in the area including the renown Maginnis, Walsh & Kennedy
and Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott.
In 1967, Ed joined the general contracting firm of Vappi &
Company, Inc. as an assistant superintendent. He spent over 20 years
there and was President and COO at the time of his departure. He
left Vappi to form his own construction consulting business, Edward
A. Hines & Associates, Inc. Ed joined Lee Kennedy Co. in 1997
as a project executive. For the next five years, Ed oversaw several
of the Company's largest projects and was offered the position of
executive vice president in 2002.
As executive vice president, Ed coordinated and managed
the project executive and project management staff and developed
and implemented
management systems within Lee Kennedy Co., Inc. Ed was an instrumental
part of preconstruction and construction services. He provided
guidance to the project management staff and forecasted
and resolved critical management issues. Ed also made key
decisions with regards to company operations and policies.
Although Ed retired from the day-to-day functions
of Lee Kennedy Co. in the spring of 2004, he still provides
the company with insight on construction projects and management
issues on a regular basis.
Ed's project experience boasts the 570,000 square-foot rehabilitation
of International Cargo Port, the historic restoration of New England
College of Optometry's Library in Boston's Back Bay, the new luxurious
Hotel Commonwealth in Kenmore Square, and the ground-up construction
of 60,000 square feet at One Palace Road for Simmons College.
