Boston College – St. Clement's Hall
140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA

This 60,000 sf renovation provided space for the college’s Information Technology Department and included a 4,000 sf Data Center and a glass-enclosed mezzanine level to house the associated Command Center. Located in a former seminary, the space marries state-of-the-art information processing equipment with the original stained glass windows. The basement was excavated to accommodate new mechanical systems which provide both future expansion and redundancy capabilities. Additional scope included a new elevator and stair and the construction of new tel/data rooms and service closets. A 24" raised floor system accommodates both air supply and data cabling for the Data Center. Different color floor tiles delineate the cable pathways and clear plexiglass tiles reveal the cabling at major pathway intersections.
