The 10,000 sf fit-out of this radio station space consisted of construction of new studios, production and mixing rooms, a reception area, lounges and sales offices. To meet the stringent acoustical needs sound doors were installed and isolated ceilings and walls were constructed. The project also included the installation of a microwave dish and emergency back-up systems. Lee Kennedy Co. assisted in the design of MEP and fire protection systems. The ultra-contemporary design includes unique floor finishes, corrugated metal wall coverings, numerous styles of pendant lighting and artistic glasswork. Inspired by the station's waterfront location, the design boasts flowing lines, a striking color scheme, and minimalist furnishings that combine to create a truly forward-thinking atmosphere.
