Courtyard by Marriott
33 West Hewell Street, Boston, MA

Ground up construction of this new six-story, 100,000 sf hotel took place over 16 months and included a preconstruction phase to create a logistics plan and plans to maintain budget and schedule throughout construction.  Along with 164 guest rooms, the hotel offers a pool, breakfast buffet area, patio, meeting rooms and space for a restaurant. The foundation consists of pipe supported grade beams with a structural slab on grade. The structure is framed with factory built light gauge metal wall panels.  Elevated slabs consist of conventional metal deck supported concrete floors. The exterior skin of the building is brick veneer. The scope also included extensive landscaping.
