Boylston Street & School Street, Boston, MA
This retail fit-up consisted of the complete gut and renovation of the existing Boylston Street Talbots location and the neighboring retail space to create one 15,000 sf store connected by a new grand staircase. Talbots remained open for business during the 13-week, fast-track project. Lee Kennedy Co.’s work at the Downtown Crossing store consisted of a complete interior retrofit while the store was open for business. The 6,000 sf space was completed in seven weeks and included demolition, new partitions, millwork display areas, and the essential cashwrap completed during a single night shift. Subsequently, Lee Kennedy Co. negotiated a contract to renovate and update the façade of the store which was completed after hours.
