Lee Kennedy Co. provided preconstruction and construction services for the redevelopment and modernization of Expressway Toyota’s existing facility. The new two-story facility is double the size of the original building at 45,000 sf and was constructed while the dealership remained open. The project was phased and resulted in a new 425’ building constructed of steel and concrete and supported on a deep foundation. The new rooftop showroom required an intense waterproofing system, while extensive expanses of glass at the showroom level allow maximum visibility of the vehicle display areas from all sides of the building. There are now 28 service bays, a new rental department, a new car showroom, administrative offices, internet/business relations department, a café, and customer-care center.
