LKCo. performed extensive interior demolition and abatement; removed existing stairwells and shored flooring; weather stripped and painted the windows; installed new dormers; performed slate repair; created elevator shafts; erected interior structural steel; created new kitchen/ lounge areas; built out a laundry area and reconfigured and renovated all existing rooms
Variety of logistical complexities included restricted work hours in a dense campus setting; tight site constraints for loading and unloading materials and rubbish; unknown existing conditions and the need to keep the building’s systems operational throughout construction
Phase two in the summer of 2013 will include corridor and bathroom renovations, elevator installation and MEP system upgrades
